Finally, finished edge preping all right elevator parts. Dimpled and counter sunk as desired, followed by cleaning and priming using DupliColor self-etching primer. The count balance skin is belved at the inboard and aft edges to smooth transition to elevator skin when riveted. Dimpling the last two aft holes of the tip rib took me a while. But I am getting better on dimpling holes like this using the chisel and screw driving and dimpler. All right elevator parts are then cleaned and primed. All ribs and spar flanges are scuffed, but the spar web didn't get scuffed, figuring the alclad will provide enough corrosion pretection, the primer is just an additional insurance. Plus, this part will not get touched when it's done.

Right elevator counter balance weight is trimmed using hacksaw

Counter balance skin is dimpled, and weight is machine countersunk

Right elevator tip rib and counter balance rib are clecoed together

Rivets between the tip rib and counter balance rib, the upper left one looks bad, but I will leave the way it is. Structurally it is ok, and the load between this two ribs is low
