Started working on the right main spar. First step per Van's instruction is to install the nubplates that attach fuel tank and inspection plate to the wing. I started with the right spar. After reading the instruction and checking out other builders' site, this is what I did.
1) drill all rivet holes for attaching nutplates to #40 size, including those for inspection plate
2) machine countersink all rivet holes for attaching nutplates
3) spot prime the countsunk holes
4) rivet nutplates

Nutplates on top flange of right spar are installed

Rivet holes for attaching nutplate for inspection cover is also countersunk

Nutplates for fuel tank on right wing spar are installed, I had to drill out one rivet due to a gap between one nutplate and spar flange
