Last week was a busy week, didn't put much time in to the build. Glad I can spend some time today. Finished drilling all longerons, including the 7 #30 holes on fwd of each longeron. Then I fabricated the F704 straps per plan. I used the AS-063 x 0.625 x 3 strap from BAG-1982. Then, I drew a centerline on the bottom aluminum angle of the firewall, and fit on the fwd bottom skin and firewall, drilled one hole on each side to position the firewall. The instruction says the fwd firewall surface should be 5/8" from the fwd edge of the side skin, but the centerline really positioned the firewall about 3/64" aft. I have to think about what I will do next, I could either drilled the rest of the hole as is, or have to move the firewall fwd slightly to make the 5/8" distance, and use whoop rivets on the two holes I already drilled. In addition, I found the longerons are not twisted enough to match WD-603. I will take the firewall out and work on the twist a little more tomorrow to make it fit.

Longerons are all drilled, except these #30 holes on fwd end

Straps are fabricated

Per instruction, some rivets are inserted to keep the longeron and skin aligned when firewall is installed

Firewall is slid in

The center line I drew on the aluminum angle of the bottom firewall is showing up through the holes

The two end holes are drilled to set the distance between the firewall and F704 bulkhead
