With my dad's help, we riveted the few rivets around the rear spar attaching location to fuselage. I thought about using the back rivet set as some other builders did, but my dad is not an experienced rivet gun handler, but he is good at using the regular flush head rivet set now after setting many side skin rivets. so I decided to just give the regular swiving flush rivet set a try. The result was much better than I expected. Nice. I had to drill a few rivets out though, but I am glad this is done now.
Then I put my eyes on the side seat ribs to side skin rivets. There are some rivets that I can't do it solo, but my dad has never used the cupped rivet set for the rounded head rivets before. I think all builders should know how easy to put some smiley or dent on skins if you are new and not careful. I hesitated for a while. But I still decided to let my dad try one at the location that won't be seen once wings are installed, just in case. After repetitively telling him to hold the gun steady and keep the rivet set normal to the skin, I let him run the gun while I buck. Unbelievable, the result is very good. So we went a head and riveted most of the rounded head rivets, except these at very bottom. We will leave these for tomorrow.
