Riveted tail cone together. I had to drill 5 of the holes to #30 and use AD4 rivets. One of the hole, at the center bottom of F711 bulkhead, right in front of the socket hole, is enlarged so bad that even an AD4 rivet won't set right. I added a doubler (not really a load bearing doubler) over the flange tab, and riveted together. I don't think the bottom flange tab will see much load, because the primary load at the F711 bulkhead is shear, which will mostly taken by so many rivets on both side. Plus, per Van's instruction for taildragger, one need to enlarge the single hole for socket access for the tail wheel spring mounting bolt, which entirely eliminated the aft flange tab.

I primed the tail mount, then pained it. It looks good to me. No need to powder coat it

The fit is pretty good

The center tab got a bad rivet I had to drill out. The hole is enlarged too much that AD4 rivet is still not good enough
