I trimmed the right and left rudder bars to length. Drawing calls out right rudder bar is 40 1/8" and left bar is 40 5/32". I need trim about 1/8" from the right and 1/32" from the left. For the left bar, I just used scotchbrite wheel to get rid of the extra material.
Then I went on to drill the fwd skin stiffeners for the rudder blocks. Like many other builders, I drilled 3 sets of holes so the block can be located at 3", 4 1/16" and 5 1/8" away from the firewall.
Trimmed to 40 1/8"
Bearing block is clamped to stiffener for drilling.
Two stiffeners are drilled for bearing block. Three positions are available
