12-06-2011:
Rib and spar are clamped for drilling
After drilling rib and spar, bottom skin of right flap is clecoed on
There is gap between the rear flange of the rib and bent rear spar on bottom skin, the gap is not even (tapered gap), it is more like a wedge. I thought a shim might be needed, but it turned out a slight (very small) bending of the rear spar will take care of the gap.
Shim FL-708 between the end rib and top skin fabricated. I used snip to cut the sheet aluminum.
Drilled the rear spar and rear flange of rib
No gap
The rear spar is pretty straight
Drawing noting that the hing edge distance needs to be adjusted to align flap with aileron, I need read other builders' site to see if I use 1/4" on the flap side, will I have enough room to adjust the flap position by adjusting edge distance on the wing side, without causing short edge margin.
