Get quite bit done today.
- Finished the installation of flap aileron on both left and right wings.
- After that, I removed the flap from right wing, and cut the hinge eyes to insert hinge pin from the middle of the flap span.
- De-blued left inboard bottom skin
- A big move is decided today. Since I am going to close the wing soon, and I don't have all equipments ordered yet. The way I wired the wing for now, there is no way I can add addition wire if more is needed. I don't like this feeling. So, I drilled holes on the ribs, and installed conduit on the right wing. I will do the same for the left wing. Adding the conduit also free up the snap bushings that I used for current wiring, I will use the bigger snap bushing holes for AOA and pitot lines, and the small snap bushing holes for VOR antenna cable.

The gap between bolt and flap side edge on the left wing is 1/8"

Gap between aileron and flap is 9/32" on the left wing

Gap between bottom skin and flap is about 9/32" on the left wing outboard

On the right wing, the gap between bolt and flap is about 5/32"

The gap between aileron and flap (right wing) is about 1/4"

Gap between bottom skin and flap (right wing) is about 5/16", slightly bigger than the left side. Since the trailing edges of the aileron and flap are aligned alright, I am ok with the slight difference

Trailing edge alignment between right wing flap and aileron

Ailerons and flaps are installed

Right flap hinge eyes are removed for pins

The edge margin on the flap hinge on the wing side is about 11/64, slightly less than 2D. Since there are so many rivets (40+), the load on each rivet will be pretty low, the less than ideal edge margin is not a concern for me

Conduit is installed on right wing
