I started to look for the little tasks that I can finish. I found the 4 flush head rivets at F706 bulkhead can be set now. So I did it. Then I riveted the arm rest to the F705 bulkhead. Two of the six rivets got off round shop heads. I will accept them because the load passes through arm rest should be high, and will be primarily in shear.

Then I worked on the F695 gussets. I had to file off the gusset some to make it fit the firewall and longeron. Then I had to bend it slightly to have a good fit. I carefully marked the rivet hole locations, lot of them, then drilled them. I did this for one gusset first, then juse the one as the template to get another one done.

Straighforward, I clamped the gussets on, and drilled longerons and firewall stiffener. All went well, until I found that the rivet hole just next to engine mount weldoment is too close the end of the weldement, there will be no room for shop head to form when riveting. After a little frustration, I removed all the clecoes, and lift the longeron out of the way, then filed the weldment using a round file, just big enough for a good shop head.

It looks like riveting all these together will be a challenge. I will leave that to a later time.
