Had a fellow RV builder Jack Rosenoff came over to inspect the HS I have done so far before I rivet the rear spar to seal it. He said everything looked good and that made me happy. I will rivet the rear spar in the next few days.-Made a big mistake, trying to drill out a 470AD4 rivet that attaching the HS404,HS714 and HS702 on the right side, ended up a enlarged hole (figure 8 type). I messed up twice, and made the hole too large for 1/8 rivet. I had to replace the 470AD4 rivet with a BSPQ-5-4 pop rivet. I had a concern regarding the strength of the replacement, and went ahead checking the strength of each rivet type. Here is what I found: for BSPQ-5-4 rivet, the single shear strength is 525 lbs, tensile is 450lbs(http://www.rivetsinstock.com/rivet74.htm); while for AD4 type rivet (2117-T3 material) the single shear strength is 369 lbs. So, it will ok to replace 470AD4 rivet with a BSPQ-5-4 pop rivet. That saved my day. LESSONS LEARNED: Don't Drill Out Rivet Unless It Is Abosulte Necessary!!)
