Since there is a big gap between the top surface of the windshield and sliding canopy, the strip over the roll bar has to be a compound shape. Easy for fiber glass strip, but not so for metail strip. I tried to roll the overhang portion of the strip (area overlapping the sliding canopy), but it didn't work since this will compress the metal which is not as easy as to stretch it. I had to do a two piece approach.
I trimed off the strip I cut yesterday, leaving about 1/2" overhang, then slotted the 1/2" overhang. The idea is to have another 3/4" to -1" strip (thinner meterial) riveted to it the overhang.
