 10-20-2011:

Because of my knee injury, I couldn't spend much time in the garage. I started riveting the leading edge ribs to the spar web, after making sure everything is in order. I did the two outboard ribs using the solid rivets called out in drawing. It was painful enough to do, especially doing it solo like me. You have to get into awkward gesture to have the rivets set. The most outboard one is easier, I got them set all right. The second outward most rib is not that easy. It ended up a smiley on one of the rivet, but acceptable. The rest ribs are even harder to get into. After checking out other buiders website, I decided to use blind rivets. Even Vans' told many builders to use LP4-3 blind rivets which is pretty soft, many builders used MSP-42, -43, -44 size rivets from Spruce. I will order some of these rivets. So, I will continue Leading edge after I receive the blind rivets. I will start working on something else. Maybe aileron next.

Shop heads of the end ribs to spar web rivets, set by rivet gun. They look good
