10-18-2011:
My knee got injured from last night's soccer game. Did go to work, instead, went to hospital to take some MRI. Hope nothing is broken. After coming back from hospital, I still managed to put 2 hours on the airplane construction, mostly sitting. I finished the splice strip that joins the fuel tank with leading edge. I dimpled the nutplate for the flush rivet. Then, I tried to cleco the skin to the wing skeleton, but found the countersink is not deep enough. There is a small gap between the skin and the spar channel. After removing the skin, I re-countersunk the spar channel. Putting the skin back again, the fitting is very good this time.

Nutplates are riveted to splice plate

Nicely set rivets

Splice plate is clecoed to the right leading edge

The fitting between skin, rib, and splice plate is good

I have to re-countersink the spar channel flange to make the fitting to leading edge and skin better

After deepening the countersunk, the fitting between spar and skin is great

After deepening the countersunk, the fitting between spar and skin is great. The rivets for nutplates are standing proud, I will polish them down a little if needed

Skin fits to the ribs well
