12-26-2011:

Finished riveting left flap. There are 3 not-so-good looking rivets between top skin to spar, but they should be structurally sound, and you won't be able to see them from outside. I also replaced one solid rivet near the nutplate with MK-319-BS rivet. With nutplate in place, I couldn't get the bulking bar to the rivet. This replacement shouldn't affect the structrual strength because MK-319BS is a strong structural rivet according to Van's.

MK-319-BS rivets are used per plan

I re-countersunk the bottom flange to make the countersunk holes slightly deeper so there is no gap between the flange and skin

Both flaps are done. I used MK-319-BS rivets for entire inboard rib of the right flap
