12-27-2011:

Small push rods between bellcrank and aileron are complete today. The AN470AD4-12 rivet seemed a little long so I ground off some, the shop head looks good, except on one of the rivets. Because 2 AN470AD4 rivets on each end and easily provide over 1000 lbs load capability, the margin is pretty high there so I didn't drill out the rivet with a slight oval shaped shop head. I also primed the rob inside and out, even it is powder painted on the outside.

the small rod is cut to length 23 13/16"

Threaded rod end is riveted to the tube using 2 AN47-AD4-12 rivets. I had to ground off some material from the rivet to make it shorter so it won't tilt when squeezed. The edge distance is 8/32" for the rivet holes
