I had to take the D-Sub connector to Dynon intercom apart to trouble shoot the mic problem, it turned out the problem is caused by aluminum debris on the pin. After a blow with compressed air, the connector is put back together again.
I used this old fashioned way to cut the panel for ELT remote control
Here is the end result with the ELT remote control fitted in. Not bad.
