I spent lots of time to find what went wrong with the non-functioning mic. After carefully reading the Dynon Intercom installation manual, I found that the mic jack and headphone jack tab arrangement are different. The outermost fit of the mic jack is for PTT, while I wired it as Mic input. I corrected the wiring on both pilot and co-pilot mic jacks. However, while the co-pilot mic is working well after re-wiring, but the mic on the pilot side only worked intermittent, when I touch the D25 connector to the intercom, the pilot mic quit working sometimes. I spend hours checking the connection, they all looked ok. Almost by accident, I noticed some aluminum debris at the connector pins for pilot mic, and blowed the debris away using compressed air, everything started working just fine. Lesson learned.
