It's Thanksgiving day. Got up early to get some work done on the airplane. Last night, when I went through the things need to be done, I found that the fuel flow transducer is not mounted yet. Worse yet, I don't have the location firmed for the transducer. After reading some websites and VAF, I decided the Red Cube (Dynon fuel flow transducer) should be between the fuel servo and spider (fuel devider).

Got into the garage and searched the scape pile of materials, I found a piece of left over material for the beefy fuel tank attachment bracket. I will fabricate a bracket from it. I plan to make a bracket attaching to the flange of oil sump, then the Red Cube will be attached the bracket. The material is about .25" thick, pretty stiff so the engine vibration shouldn't be a concern. I have to get another hose (about 17" end to end) to connect the Reb Cube to spider. I can use the fuel hose coming with then engine between fuel servo and Red Cube. I will have to rotate the outlet fitting from fuel servo about 180 degree.

The bracket looked good, and the installation looks pretty solid. I need buy some AN4 bolts to replance the bolts I took off from the oil sump, they are too short after adding the Reb Cube mount bracket.

Fuel flow transducer will be mounted to the bracket like this, then the assembly will be mounted to engine oil sump flange

This is how fuel flow transducer is mounted

The installation is pretty solid in my opinion, hope it won't give me trouble down the road
