A week after getting the airworthiness certificate, I think I am ready for the first flight. Both nervous and excited, I coordinated with our EAA chapter Flight Adviser Tom Staggs for flying chase pilot for me. Tom helped me on the final check on FWF and controls, then we installed the cowling. Now it's time for the first flight.

The first flight went well, we circled the airport at about 4000 ft for 45 min. The plane flew well hand off. The only concern is the cyl #1 temperature reached 420F during climb out. No leaks were found after the flight.
